Before Bert Berns takes over Broadway, he’s giving you another little piece of his heart: a new documentary.

Bert Berns has worked with some of the music industry’s greatest names (and is rumored to know a few members of the Mafia). At age 38, Berns died from heart failure, leaving behind music that would live on forever, including “Twist and Shout,” “Piece of My Heart,” “Here Comes The Night,” and “I Want Candy.

Now, the new documentary “BANG: The Bert Berns Story,” created by Berns’ son Brett Berns, is making its world premiere this weekend at the music and film festival, South by Southwest.
