The Song of the Summer is…

Summer is almost over. So, before all the crop tops fade away and every beverage turns to “pumpkin,” we must resolve the most important dilemma of the season…

What is the Song of the Summer?!

2014 had plenty of chart-toppers that rocked our socks off and had us tapping our toes in the sand (or on the subway). We were singing in the shower to Becky G and solvin’ problems with Ariana Grande. And after hearing MAGIC!’s hit song “Rude” several dozen times, we were totally ready to ignore what that girl’s dad said and marry her anyway, too!

But what was that one song that was just EVERYWHERE? Like, “you-heard-it-playing-in-Home-Depot” everywhere?

Well, TPG voted and here are your results:

The runner up is…

2. “Chandelier” by Sia

We were flippin’ our blonde wigs over this brilliant new jam that unleashed the modern dancer in all of us.

And the Song of the Summer is…

1. “Fancy” by Iggy Azalea feat. Charli XCX

You’re so fancy, you already knew.

Honorable Mentions:

We were belting out a few other show-stoppers in the office these past few months, so let’s give a special shout to the Off-Broadway Songs of the Summer: “One Day” from the new musical ATOMIC and “Piece of My Heart,” as performed by the cast of Piece of My Heart: The Bert Berns Story.
