As temperatures rise, free summer concert events arise! Here are some of the best (and FREE!) NYC music events that you do not want to miss.

NBC’s Today Show Summer Concert Series: With performances ranging from Usher to Jason Mraz, this summer concert series is worth getting up early for! Performances run from Friday, May 18th to Friday, August 31st at Rockefeller Plaza.

New York Philharmonic Concerts in the Park: The New York Philharmonic’s Concerts in the Park is back! Starting Wednesday, July 11th through Tuesday, July 17th, the New York Philharmonic performs at a park near you.

NYC SummerStage 2012: This program by the City Parks Foundation is one of the most popular summer programs in the city. This three-month artistic community event is held in Central Park beginning Thursday, June 7th and ending Sunday, August 19th, so there is plenty of time to catch a show!
