Facebook for Business

Facebook is a valuable social tool for any professional. The site allows you to connect with the public personally through comments, wall posts, fan pages and event pages. You can also place targeted ads on users’ pages based on the interests they list on their profile. Facebook’s mobile app lets you update your audience anywhere.

The Pekoe Group has provided a few tips you can use to jump-start your business’s social media campaign.

Image is Everything:

Make sure you have a memorable cover photo and profile picture that represents your company. We would recommend using your company logo for your profile picture, and a related image or photograph as the panoramic cover that showcases your product or service.

Content Matters:

Make sure you provide a clear summary of your company so that visitors can quickly understand what you are all about. Also, provide a link to your homepage, so that they can explore your product or services.

Share with Your Friends:

Sharing lets you direct your followers and others to statuses, comments, pictures and links that you want them to see. Sharing allows you to control who sees the message, and you have the option to personalize a message for a more intimate connection. Connect with other businesses by sharing each other’s content to widen both of your reaches, or share posts of your followers that you think are insightful or inspiring.
