Season of Cambodia: Yesterday, Today, & Tomorrow

The first few weeks of Season of Cambodia have been amazing! The incredible artists have opened our eyes and opened our hearts as they transported us to their beloved homeland, taking us on a moving tour through the Cambodia of yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

The Khmer Arts Ensemble captivated us with their intricate choreography as they whisked us into a world of magical alligators and lessons of the heart in A Bend in the River.

In Olden New Golden Blue, we saw the story of Cambodia’s culture come alive before us with dance that explored Cambodia’s embrace of the future alongside their deep connection to tradition.

We even got to see first-hand the beautiful ancient art of Sbek Thom, Cambodian shadow puppetry, performed brilliantly by the Shadow Puppet Troupe of Wat Bo.
