The Pekoe Group Guide to Pumpkin Pie

A wonderful compliment to a delicious feast is pumpkin pie. Whether store-bought or homemade, this traditional dessert is enjoyed by many during the fall and early winter seasons.

With Thanksgiving around the corner, try making your own pumpkin pie with this easy and stress-free recipe.

What you will need:

·      1 pre-made graham cracker crust

·      1 can of pumpkin puree

·      2 eggs

·      1/2 cup of brown sugar

·      1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon

·      1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg

·      1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves

·      1/4 teaspoon of salt

·      1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract

·      1 can of coconut milk

 

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.

In a large bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, eggs, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, salt, vanilla extra and coconut milk. Whisk until smooth.

Pour the mixture into the pie crust and place in the oven. Bake for 15 minutes.

Reduce the heat to 350 degrees and continue baking for 35 to 40 minutes.

Once your pie is done, let it cool. Garnish however you desire. Serve and enjoy!
