Although Tumblr is superior to WordPress in the way it integrates social media, WordPress still comes out on top when it comes to its design features. WordPress is more flexible and functions more like an online magazine, allowing you to shift text into columns and integrate photos (Whereas Tumblr only has one design template)
WordPress may still have the upper hand when it comes to designing a blog post, but Tumblr may catch up. Tumblr has plans to update its design settings, giving you more options for layout. However, for those of you who want to have maximal control over detail of your blog, WordPress is still the better option even though using it does require more technical skill (it is not as easy as tumbling on Tumblr).
